Photo of the Day #1974: I got my first camera for my birthday in February of 1974. This is a photo from that year, of my room. The bookcase on the left, with the curtain in front of it: we still have that bookcase in our basement. The large figure hanging on the right, which looks extremely dubious: it was actually a present I got at a Saint Nicholas party at school the year before, and was just a representation of the “Black Peter” helper of Saint Nicholas.
